Methods for Assessing the Environmental Impact of Products and Services – What is LCA?
Sho Ogura (LCA Expert Center CO., Ltd.)
In recent years, in the provision of products and services, assessing impacts such as climate change and effects on ecosystems has increasingly become a necessary consideration. To assess these impacts, this presentation will introduce Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a method that evaluates the entire life cycle of a product or service—from raw material procurement and transportation to manufacturing, use, and final disposal or recycling—along with current trends and case studies from both Japan and abroad.
Manufacturing of Build-Up Substrates and Embedded Component Boards by Additive Manufacturing.
Kenji Tsukada
Additive manufacturing methods, represented by 3D printers, have been increasingly applied to the field of functional electronics, in recent years. FUJI’s electronics 3D printer is a multifunctional device that enables the fabrication of build-up substrates by laminating conductive circuits and insulating materials using inkjet printing, and by integrating component mounting and a low-temperature bonding process using conductive adhesives. In this presentation, we will introduce the process and fabrication examples of embedded devices and multi-layer embedded structures utilizing this equipment.
